By the time Justin got home I had felt a lot better so I made dinner with his help and curled up in bed with Marcus and finished watching the newest Sherlock Holmes. Which is a must see by the way! I still felt fine so I put Marcus to bed and we went to bed since 5:30am comes real early.
About 5am I woke up with the worst stomach pains in the world. I felt horrible, I tried to lay in bed and see if they would go away and they wouldn't walking didn't even help. It would go away and come back. Finally after getting Marcus back to bed around 6am I fell asleep and we slept until 9 and I woke up feeling way better than I have in 2 days, but I spent 95% of the day in bed just relaxing. So hopefully I'm over whatever it is I had, because I need to pack for this weekend! Right now I'm just fighting a killer headache! If its not one thing its another isn't it?
We are leaving Friday after we both get out of work to go to Michigan for the weekend to see my family! I haven't got to see then since the first week of June. I saw my dad last month but that was only for like an hour and we had dinner together. Were going up so I can get my wedding dress, my bridesmaid dresses and get our cake picked out and the flowers. So its going to be a super packed weekend and Saturday night we are having a cookout so all of the family can see Marcus. I am looking forward to it, a weekend to get away and spend with my family and away from work and all the other stuff going on here.
So in the title I mentioned Strawberry Shortcake, last week Justin and I went to the grocery store to pick up a few things we needed. While walking through the produce section Justin found the pre-made Strawberry Shortcakes. I told him rather than pay the $3.50 for the tiny cake I'd just make some. Even better Strawberries were buy 1 get 1 free that day! So we grabbed strawberries and a box of Bisquick and we headed home. It took me a couple days to make them because after we got home I was to busy with Marcus to make them. But I made them a couple nights ago and while they were warm I cut them in half layered strawberries, whip cream, shortcake, strawberries, whip cream, strawberries. Oh my goodness they were delicious!! I in fact had one for breakfast this morning and it was delicious still!
Here is a picture of the delicious creation. Delicious!!
A heads up for any of the mommies who may be reading Bumbo just came out with a recall on their seats. If you go to their website here http://recall.bumbousa.com/ it will walk you through the steps to get the restraint belt they are now offering for the Bumbo. But as always you should never leave your baby unattended in one of the seats.
Now for a picture that totally makes my day and the reason I love being a Mommy. I love this little guy!
